The Cake Journey
Step One
Booking Your Date
Firstly, Congratulations on your upcoming wedding!
Once you have booked your Wedding date, please get in touch. We can then check our availability and hear all the lovely details of your day. Our wedding cakes are handmade and intricately detailed. This means they require many hours of work and therefore our weekly capacity is limited.
I usually recommend booking your cake around 9-12 months before your big day. We are currently taking bookings for two years in advance so please don’t leave it too late! You can save your date for a £50 deposit (non-refundable and non-transferable).
I completely understand if you want to try our cakes before booking. Therefore, I offer virtual tasting appointments for £35 (including postage). This includes a cake sample box with 6 of our most popular flavours and a one to one video call to discuss your cake requirements.

Step Two
Designing Your Cake
This is the fun part!
We will arrange a consultation for you to come to my home or schedule a video call to design your cake. These usually last around 1 hour and we will talk through designs and ideas you have.
By this point, your venue will be booked, your colour schemes picked, and your flowers selected, or at least have an idea of what you want. All of these aspects will help with designing your cake and help make the final product a centerpiece of the day.
After our appointment, I will send you a sketch of the proposed design for you to approve. This stage will last as long as it needs to for us to create a cake that is perfect for you and your day.

Step Three
Choosing Your Flavours
This bit isn't bad either!
After your design consultation, you will take home a complimentary box of cake with 6 of our most popular flavours for you to try. These can also be posted or collected to suit your schedule.
The current boxes include vanilla, lemon, raspberry, and white chocolate, chocolate salted caramel, red velvet & cherry Bakewell. You get to take them home and enjoy in the comfort of your own home, maybe even share with family and friends (or not!). The only hard part of this step is that you need to decide which flavours you would like and which tier they will appear.

Step Four
Payment and Delivery
So your cake design is complete and your cake flavours are chosen, perfect!
Three months before the wedding, half of the remaining balance will be due. This allows me to start work on the details of your cake. The remaining payment is due one month before the day of your wedding and you can relax knowing everything is taken care of.
I will personally deliver and set up your cake on your wedding day, making sure everything is perfect and ready for you to see it as newlyweds (how exciting!). All you need to worry about is having an amazing day and cutting your cake later on!
